Christenings:

Your childs christening is another one of those very special family events when viewed in terms of family history. It is one of those ocassions where family and friends are drawn together to welcome your child into the world.

Since christenings are usually all about little babies, it goes without saying it is the little things that are actually the big things when it comes to photographing your child. The tiny shoes, candles, the array of tiny clothes, christening gowns and gifts are what should certainly be included as part of your childs christening album. For this reason, Dave would recommend being present during the preparation stages of the day. Dave will provide coverage from the preparation location, reportage style, to the church where informal shots will be taken as your friends and family arrive. Coverage will continue to the ceremony itself and from there to the reception. The ideal locations for the family portrait photos can be decided well in advance as sometimes the church is just not the best place for it, certainly if there are multiple christenings taking place during the same ceremony. It is also worth noting that in certain cases photographers are not allowed to take photos during the service. You will need to find out if this is the case beforehand. As part of the days photography, you can expect between 100 and 200 photos (depending on the size of your group). As part of the standard service Dave will prepare all images from the day and place them in your own personal internet gallery. From there you can choose to go the digital route or the album route. Various album options are available to suit every taste though Dave will go through everything with you at the initial meeting. It is worth noting that different people like different coverage of their childs christening so it goes without saying the coverage offered is very flexible and will be tailored to suit each person.

For Mum, if she so chooses, a make up package is also available which can include our own hairstylist Benji. Similar to wedding preparations, Sonia will arrive at your preparation location at a pre-arranged time and give you that look you were after. For every big event like a christening, Sonia will recommend a consultation and will arrange this with you well beforehand to ensure you know exactly what look you will be getting on the day. Should you choose both make up and hairstylist, suitable arrival times of Sonia and Benji will be arranged well in advance.
